| Responses to Pictures During Tobacco Withdrawal Study | |||||||||||
| What is the purpose of the study?
The purpose of this research study is to observe how physiological responses to different kinds of stimuli change during short-term tobacco abstinence. |

| How often are the clinic visits?
This study has three visits to Elliott Hall (75 East River Road, Minneapolis, MN) on the East Bank of the University of Minnesota Campus. The first visit lasts 1 hour, the second visit lasts just over 2 hours, and the third visit lasts 1 hour. The second and third sessions will take place approximately 24 hours apart. |

| What will I be doing in the study?
You may or may not be asked to stop smoking for a 48 hour period (we will inform you of this during the first visit). During the first and third visits, you will be asked to fill out several questionnaires and to complete a few computer tasks. The second visit is the psychophysiological recording session. During this session, we will use sensors to measure your physiological reactions while you view a set of visual stimuli. |

| Will I be compensated?
You will receive up to $50 for completing the study. |
